1. Period 
The submission phase of the Material Prize 2024 will take place from 01.07.2024 to 30.09.2024. All documents must be submitted digitally to raumprobe I Material Bank within this period. The competition is NOT anonymous.

2. Awarding authority 
The Material Prize is awarded and organized by raumprobe I Material Bank®, legally represented by DesignFuture GmbH.

3. Eligibility to participate 
The competition is open to companies and individuals involved in material manufacturing, production and development who are the copyright holders of the submitted materials.

4. Fees and prize money 
The participation fees are staggered as follows
> 01.07.-04.08.2024 - early bird discount 700,- € net. 
> 05.08.-31.08.2024 - participation fee € 850,- net. 
> 01.09.-30.09.2024 - late-booker September 950,- € net. 
> For students & trainees, both participation and award are free of charge. 
> In the case of an award, booking the » winner package for € 2,500 net is mandatory. 
> In the case of recognition, booking the » winner package for € 1,500 net is obligatory. 
The fees for the competition apply per submitted material and must be transferred no later than 14 days after receipt of the invoice.

5. Conditions of submission 
> Participants must be the copyright holders of the submitted materials. 
> A maximum of 3 materials can be submitted per company. 
> The competition language is German.

6. Documents to be submitted 
in digital form with a focus on materiality: 
> Fully completed and submitted online form 
> If possible, five meaningful photos (image format 4:3 format jpg, image size max. 2-12 MB) 
> General description of the material
> 2 DIN A4 samples of the submitted material

7. Jury 
An independent jury of experts from the fields of architecture, science and associations will evaluate the entries submitted. The jury meeting is not open to the public and its decisions are made by simple majority. The results and decisions of the jury are final and cannot be contested. For the benefit of the submitted project, the jury and raumprobe I Material Bank as the awarding company reserve the right to assign the submitted entry to a different category.

8. Announcement and prizes 
Notification of the jury's decision by e-mail. The award-winning companies will receive trophies and certificates.

9. Rights of use and disclaimer 
By participating in the competition, the submitter grants raumprobe I Material Bank, as the awarding company, the right to use the submission documents and images without restriction in terms of content, time and space. raumprobe I Material Bank assumes that both copyrights and other property rights of the submitted competition entries and images have been clarified. The participants (submitters) release raumprobe I Material Bank from all liabilities and obligations.

10. Changes, withdrawal or termination 
As the organizing company, raumprobe I Material Bank reserves the right to cancel or postpone the Material Prize if the number of participants is too low or for reasons for which it is not responsible. It may also change or cancel the Material Prize 2024 at any time without giving reasons, in particular if it is no longer possible to carry it out properly for legal or technical reasons. Further claims, in particular claims for damages, are mutually excluded.

11. Legal recourse 
Legal recourse is excluded.

12. Declaration of consent 
By participating in the Material Prize 2024, participants agree that raumprobe I Material Bank receives the rights to the submitted competition entry. Participants agree to make the competition entry available to raumprobe I Material Bank for publications and purposes of public relations and competition documentation, without participants being able to assert any claims for fees or other claims. There is no entitlement to publication.

Participants also grant raumprobe I Material Bank the right to use the competition entry in a revised or abridged version. Participants also agree that the data may be stored and archived and published as part of the presentation of the competition results. The participants retain both the copyright and the right to publication outside the purpose of the competition.

The participation and submission data for online presentations, exhibitions and press releases will be taken from the application. raumprobe I Material Bank accepts no liability for incorrect or false information. The submitted documents become the property of the awarding company. raumprobe I Material Bank may publish the work free of charge. Submitted image material created by photographers may be used free of charge by the awarding authority. A mention of the name of the copyright holder is prepared in the publication, but cannot be guaranteed.

13. Severability clause 
Should any part of these provisions be or become invalid or unenforceable, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced by a valid and enforceable provision whose effects come closest to the economic objective pursued by the parties with the invalid or unenforceable provision. The above provisions shall apply accordingly in the event that the conditions of participation prove to be incomplete.
